    Montag, Pratt head towards splitsville

    (IANS)

'The Hills' star Heidi Montag has filed for a divorce from her estranged husband Spencer Pratt nearly two months after she went to court to seek a legal separation.

'Heidi has amended her petition for separation and has filed a petition for dissolution of marriage from Spencer Pratt,' Heidi's lawyer, Jodeane Farrell confirmed.

'The couple has agreed they would like their divorce to be finalised in a timely manner in an out-of-court settlement. Both parties are amicable with each other over the possibility of finalising their divorce,' contactmusic.com quoted Farrell as saying.

Heidi, 23, lodged a divorce petition in Santa Monica, California Superior Court Friday, citing irreconcilable differences.

The couple, who worked together in MTV series 'The Hills', married in 2008 in a ceremony in Mexico. They exchanged vows for the second time in 2009 in Pasadena, California, amid claims that their Mexican nuptial was not legal.
